I went to the dentist about 2 months ago for a complete oral check up, and he noticed a red bumb on the roof of my mouth, he told me to come back in 3 weeks to have a filling done and also to check on the lump. When I came back for the filling he look at the lump and said to come back again in 4 weeks to see if there were any changes. I did just this week and he said it had gotten larger and that he thinks because of the location that its has to do something with a block slavortiy gland. But doing some research online says that its gets smaller throughout the day and that theres pain when you eat, I do not have this. But my dentist refered me to a oral surgernt. My question is, what could this lump possiably be and what can i expect the oral surgernt to do? and if he had to biopsy it, what does that invloved? I should also mention that I NF(1) Neurofibromatosi.
